Peace with Justice

The foundation for peace is justice.
Seek peace and pursue it.
“…nation shall not lift sword against nations, neither shall they learn war any more” (Micah 4:3b)
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
(Matthew 5:9)
Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America-
gathering, equipping and mobilizing Baptists to build a culture of peace rooted in justice.
Through our partnership with BPFNA Binkley obtains tools to enable our congregation to engage in a variety of peacemaking activities. Our members promote their activities, attend the summer peacemaking conference and serve on the Board of Directors.
Orange County Peace Coalition- a network of justice and peace organizations that work on a local level to host activities that bring attention to vital issues affecting our community as well as our involvement in the national and global arena. Commemorative events, peace vigils and protests are held regularly.
Coalition for Peace with Justice- welcomes all individuals and groups working for a just and sustainable peace in Israel and Palestine. It is an ecumenical and interfaith network, dedicated to human rights, non-violence, education, and advocacy. Formed originally within Binkley Church, this organization is now a 501(c) (3) organization. A variety of educational programs are offered every year, often featuring speakers form the Middle East. A Middle East prayer vigil is held in area congregations on the 4th of every month.
Several Binkley members have made pilgrimages to the region to learn of the realities on the ground and to express solidarity with justice and peace efforts. Because of direct contact with peacemaking organizations, Binkley has supported a variety of organizations located in the region:
