Bo Lloyd, Organist Bo Lloyd began his service at Binkley in January, 2008, as organist and pianist for all worship services, accompanist for
 adult, youth and children's choirs, and has periodically directed the handbell choir and brass quintet. He enjoys presenting organ concerts and musical programs for special occasions. He is available for weddings and funerals.Bo grew up in Spencer, North Carolina, where he began piano studies at the age of seven. He received both his Bachelors and Master's degrees in music education from East Carolina University with emphasis in organ performance and church music. Previously, Bo has taught instrumental music grades 6 - 12 in the public schools of North Carolina, including concert band, marching band, jazz band and Broadway musicals. He also taught music appreciation for East Carolina University extension at Camp LeJeune. In previous churches, Bo has served as minister of music, director of youth and children's choirs and handbell director. He has had prior work experiences in the hearing aid industry, the retail music business and with pipe organ builders. When not at Binkley, Bo currently teaches private piano and organ lessons, manages personal rental properties and sells sheet music and music books to churches and schools through his online music service, AngelmusicUSA.com. Bo enjoys home improvement projects, cooking and biking. Since the year 2000, he has established a relationship with First Baptist Church in Matanzas, Cuba where he has collaborated with local musicians in workshops and concerts. |
