Peter was initially drawn to Binkley Church because of the congregation’s willingness to live out faith in the area of social concerns, its ecumenical stance and its multiracial legacy. As he got to know the congregation better, he was touched as well by the personal warmth, compassion and honesty he found here, and by Binkley’s long-time commitment to hospitality for refugees and others.
Peter is married to Lynn Carman Bodden, an Intentional Interim Minister and consultant in the United Church of Christ. They have two adult sons, Luke and Benjamin. Luke is in an Urban Teachers master's degree program in Chicago, and Ben is a student at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where he majors in Government. |
