Stephanie A. Ford, Minister of Christian Formation

Stephanie, who is an Ordained Minister with an endorsement by the Alliance of Baptists, received her B.A. in Elementary Education from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She has an M.A. in Education from Oral Roberts University and an M.A. in English from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

Additionally Stephanie holds the Master of Divinity Degree from The Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, Virginia.  She served as Steely Intern for Spiritual Life at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church in Raleigh where she led adult classes in prayer; facilitated retreats on mystics, Lent, and prayer; preached and led group spiritual direction.  She received the Highest Academic Achievement Award in her graduating class.

Stephanie’s Ph.D. in Spirituality from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. focused on the life and writings of Evelyn Underhill, mystics scholar and Anglican spiritual writer. An outstanding scholar, Stephanie has been a college teaching assistant, an adjunct instructor in English, in English as a Second Language and in religion.  She served for 10 years as Associate Professor of Christian Spirituality at the Earlham School of Religion in Richmond, Indiana.   Most recently she has devoted much of her time to her daughter, Deepmala whom she adopted from India, as well as being an adjunct instructor in religion at Wake Technical Community College.  Stephanie is a member of Binkley Church.
