Historic Thousands on Jones Street (HKonJ)

HKonJ, Historic Thousands on Jones Street, is a statewide coalition of the North Carolina NAACP and over 80 other civil rights organizations, progressive groups and congregations uniting to work for justice in our state. The "historic thousands" refers to an annual People’s Assembly in Raleigh, a gathering of folks who love justice. Each February the gathered thousands march to Jones Street, site of the North Carolina legislative buildings, to deliver a message to state government. The HKonJ message is grounded in a 14 Point People's Agenda that is anti-racist, anti-poverty and anti-war.  Learn more about HKonJ at www.hkonj.com.
