Conscious Aging:  Becoming More Fully Who We Are led by Cate Alexander, Thursday, July 16, 10:30 a.m.  This 90-minute workshop is an introduction to the work of Cynthia Bourgeault, spiritual teacher and Episcopal priest.  For Bourgeault, there's an important distinction between aging and conscious aging. Conscious aging is another way to describe the path of elderhood, one chosen in later years by those sensing new dimensions of growth toward greater wisdom.

Cate Alexander will share Bourgeault’s teachings in a circle conversation where those gathered will explore her path of elderhood and how it does or could animate our own experience of the journey of these later years.  The spirit of the conversation will be lively, full of possibilities, and, we hope, will expand our vision of what’s generative in the days and years ahead.

Cate has studied Bourgeault’s Conscious Aging teachings and spent three years as a student in The Center for Action and Contemplation’s Living School.  Trained as a spiritual companion, she currently facilitates a group for the CAC called Contemplative Elders.

Lunch from Alfredo’s will be available following this conversation.
